The main trouble I am finding with the format of 2D digital is the struggle to maintain a certain positions for the different body parts whilst I animated others. For example during the push up motion in the 1st After Effects test I animated (shown below), I wanted to find a way of holding the front foot stationary whilst rotating the parented leg pieces via there pivot points, an in turn stretching the leg as the body lifts. This would have made it seem far more realistic. Due to the sense that firm pressure from the dogs weight was being pushed downwards onto its foot. Therefore holding it there securely in place like it would be when acting as a load bearer to support the dog and keep it balanced.
At the moment due to being on easter break and having a lack of Ian Friend in my life :'( , I am left with the option of simply trying to trouble shoot the issue myself, alongside the possible aid of online tutorials. I'm sure I'll work something out though. Yeah! Positivity! :D
