After pitching my initial plan for the development module to Mary and Arril it appeared to be very vague. So I was advised to write-up a short statement of intent explaining what I wished to have developed by the end of the module and how I planed to go about it. As this would make the brief I am trying to set myself far clearer within my own mind and make it far easier for me to comprehend how to go about completing it.
My Initial Statement of Intent for the Development Module:
At the end of this project I want to have developed my skills and understandings of the process of designing and creating characters, with the output of animation in mind.
On my development journey I plan to design one character for use in three different animation mediums. Observing the differences needing to be considered and taken into account when in the design stage.
Afters I have designed the character for the different mediums I aim to test it within, (2D Digital, 2D Traditional and Paper Cut-out Stop-Motion), I will then create three very short character animations using the same action or motion such as a walk cycle, to again see what the differences are in the output stage, and document how the animation differs.
